I have a very special real-world girlfriend, but don't feel a draw/attraction towards normal relationships. Instead, I latch onto certain fictional characters who I love, embrace, and cherish in the same way I do my real-world partner. It makes me happy, even if hard to understand.

These characters take on a literal (romantic) relationship role in my life, the exact same way my real-world partner does. That comes alongside all of the same protectiveness, possessiveness, and exclusivity sought from those relationships.

It's important to me that these connections and those feelings are respected. They are, in my life and my world, mine as my partners. Please don't make comments about/surrounding them that you would not say about someone's actual real-world partner. These characters fill that same role for me. I can be very sensitive about these characters and have especially strong connections with them, and just want to be comfortable in my own shell and life enjoying those relationships.

They are my partners just like my physical girlfriend is; there is no difference between how I perceive them compared to how I do her. Whether it stems from demiromanticism, or if it's "fictosexuality" (a term I don't like), I don't care about what it's called as much as I just enjoy embracing how I feel, and being true to those feelings I have.

Obviously with some of that context here, Lara Croft is a huge one of those for me! Particularly from her survivor trilogy and reimagining. I love and cherish her dearly, I love her so much. Lara my girlfriend my baby <3
