1. Introduction

Welcome to FURID. By using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

2. Definitions

"Service" refers to the FURID website, accessible at furid.co, including all features such as profiles, gallery, FurAsk, Place (map and stickers), and related functionality.

"User" refers to individuals who access or use the Service.

"Content" refers to text, images, videos, links, custom CSS, gallery posts, FurAsk questions and answers, journal entries, map pins, stickers, comments, and other materials that may be uploaded, posted, or otherwise made available through the Service.

3. Eligibility and Account Registration

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

To use certain features, you must register for an account. You may register using email and password, or by signing in with Twitch or Discord (when Discord integration is enabled). You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.

Username policy: You may not use a username that impersonates a popular or well-known person, brand, or entity. We reserve the right to revoke such usernames and replace them with a random one. Certain usernames are reserved (e.g., system routes like "admin", "api", "settings"). By registering, you agree to our Privacy Policy and these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others
• Post or share content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Impersonate any person or entity, including through your username
• Use custom CSS or other means to inject scripts, malware, or code that could harm others or the Service
• Engage in spam, scraping, or automated access beyond normal use
• Engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems

The Service allows links and upload of adult content. Profiles containing such links display an age warning. You must be 18 or older to view such content. You are responsible for any third-party content you link to.

5. Content

You retain ownership of any Content you submit, post, or display on or through the Service. By submitting Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, display, and store such Content, including through our service providers (e.g., for hosting and delivery).

We reserve the right to remove any Content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable for any reason. Custom CSS is sanitized to prevent malicious code; we may remove or disable custom CSS that causes problems.

AI training: We will not use your Content to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models, and we will not sell or license your Content to others for that purpose. Our use of your Content is limited to operating, securing, and improving the Service as described in this section (for example hosting, delivery, display, and moderation).

AI scraping: We will use reasonable technical and policy measures to try to prevent automated scraping of the Service by AI crawlers and similar tools. We cannot guarantee that third parties will not access or copy material you make publicly available on the internet; you remain responsible for what you choose to publish.

6. Third-Party Services and Content

The Service integrates with third-party services (e.g., Twitch, Discord, Spotify, YouTube, Last.fm) and may display embedded content from them. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or services.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by posting the new Terms on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, constitute the entire agreement between you and FURID regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
